About the role
The Therapy Front Desk position ensures the clinic adheres to relevant healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, OSHA, and compliance against fraud and abuse. Responsibilities include eligibility checks, fixing charts, managing appointments, pre-registration, greeting patients, and handling provider communications.
Responsibilities
- Eligibility check
- Fixing charts/mistakes
- Phreesia appointment validations; cancellation/reschedules
- Pre-registration
- Recognize, greet and register patients in a polite, prompt and helpful manner
- ProviderFlow Answer all phone calls and voice messages in a pleasant manner and handle patient needs expeditiously
- Verify current informational statuses and collect insurance information, demographic information and signatures as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical office procedures
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Skills in operating business office machines
- Skills in answering the telephone in a professional manner
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients, employees and the public

Schedule
- Monday – Friday work schedule
- Hours of business are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
