Patient Escort - Valet Parking

University of Iowa Health Care department of Guest Services is seeking a 100% Patient Escort - Valet Parking. This position will be full-time 100% with hours to be scheduled between 9:30a.m. -7:15p.m. Monday-Friday. Job Duties Safely drive valet parked vehiclesPerform valet parking duties as assignedGreet patients and guest upon arrive to the hospitalTransporting and assisting UI Health Care ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients and guests to and from clinics, inpatient units and procedure areas via wheelchair, patient bed, patient stretcher, or walking them to their destinationDeliver wheelchairs to assigned areasProblem solve when service recovery is neededAssist patients and guests with questions and way finding needsOn occasion, drive a motorized transportation cartSafely, perform guest services dispatch dutiesDeliver moveable medical equipment throughout the hospitalClean and store equipmentDrive late evening shuttle and perform other duties as assigned Additional Info: This position has a blood-borne pathogen exposure risk. Must be able to regularly move heavy weight of 100 lbs, and occasionally in excess of 250 lbs via wheelchair or bed. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in inclement weather. Must be able to move for long periods of time.
