Patient Escort Supervisor
Job Summary

We're seeking an engaging, service-oriented Patient Escort Supervisor to lead the daily operations of Patient Escort Services while providing oversight for Environmental Services Leads at our Union Hospital campus in Elkton, Maryland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident frontline leader who enjoys solving problems, making decisions independently, and motivating teams to deliver exceptional service. You'll play a key role in ensuring patients are transported safely and efficiently while supporting a seamless experience for caregivers, visitors, and clinical teams throughout the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of Patient Escort Services, including patient transport dispatch and workflow coordination.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and daily oversight to Patient Escort staff and Environmental Services Leads.
- Cook up transport requests and prioritize patient movement to support timely clinical care.
- Monitor staffing, adjust assignments, and respond proactively to changing operational needs.
- Coach, train, develop, and recognize team members while fostering accountability and engagement.
- Partner with nursing, clinical departments, and hospital leadership to ensure exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and departmental procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Two or more years of patient transport, environmental services, hospital operations, or related healthcare experience is preferred.
- Previous experience leading, coordinating, or supervising staff is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
- EPIC experience is a plus.

Pay
Hourly Pay Range: $22.29 - $33.44
