Patient Engagement & Marketing Lead
We're seeking a Patient Engagement & Marketing Lead to educate patients and their care teams about our maximalist molecular profiling service and its value. This role involves both strategic planning and direct patient interaction.
- Engage with referred patients and their care teams: Regular meetings to understand their situations and introduce Valius's service.
- Prioritize marketing programs: Work with leadership to develop a near-term patient communication strategy and allocate resources.
- Own program execution: Manage patient communication across websites, blogs, social media, and PR channels within budget constraints.
- Measure program impact: Evaluate the effectiveness of communication programs against invested resources.
- Maintain up-to-date systems: Record patient interactions in our internal CRM tool.
- Contribute across the company: Participate in cross-functional initiatives as the team scales.
This is an in-person position based in San Francisco or Boston.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific discipline (exceptional candidates may be considered without one).
- Deep understanding of oncology and molecular diagnostics (developed through education, research, or industry experience).
- 2+ years of experience in marketing at a healthcare or life sciences institution.
- Experience communicating directly with patients and/or their care teams.
- Experience managing web and/or social platforms.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Comfort working in a high-stakes, patient-facing environment.
- Commitment to our patient-focused mission.
- Interest in working for a small, early-stage startup.
