Patient Concierge

About the role

Empire Eye is a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice seeking a Patient Concierge to join our nationally recognized team. We offer vast clinical experience in a wide variety of eye surgical services, advanced technology, and proven results. This is a hybrid position that includes some Patient Services Representative duties.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and verify demographic and financial information
• Complete patient registration in the EHR system and collect detailed medical histories
• Provide patients with accurate expectations regarding exam visits
• Coordinate care with other services and triage calls to clinical staff
• Manage documentation and follow-up
• Provide exemplary customer service for our patients
• Patient check-in and check-out, answering phones
• Process insurance referrals and patient paperwork as required
• Obtain consent for medical care and financial agreements
• Provide information about services

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year of general office experience in a healthcare setting (Ophthalmology preferred)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite
• Demonstrate excellence in communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
