Summary
Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School or Equivalent required; Technical certification or program completion required in one of the following:
- Patient Care Technician
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- Reference summary for details
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) – Relevant Specialty required upon hire. Active CPR certification upon hire. Patient Care Technician certification if applicable.
- Experience (minimum – one of the following):
- 6 months acute care experience; or
- 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or
- Successful completion of a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT Internship; or
- Completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN) or Nursing Foundation (LPN) Programs; or
- EMT certification / Paramedic license (for ER only); or
- Completed a PCT or Nursing Assistant program which includes a clinical component.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 1 year – Hospital in related field.
- Credentials: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) preferred.
Schedule
- Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt
- Shift Hours: 6:45pm – 7:15am (Nights)
- Weekend Work: Every 3rd
- On Call: No
- Remote Work: Never
