About the Role
Join our team as a day shift, full-time Cardiac Stepdown Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Tulsa, OK. The Cross Trained Assistant performs CNA duties as well as clerical duties under the direction of a registered nurse (RN) and the unit manager.
Assists with patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, transporting patients, passing meal trays, delivering hygiene care, and answering inquiries within the scope of practice. Assists nursing staff by receiving patients at the desk, taking patients to appropriate rooms, providing initial instruction, transporting discharged patients, and answering inquiries.
May act as the unit’s receptionist, assigning patients to rooms, alerting nursing staff to patient arrival, pulling and preparing charts, ordering and monitoring supplies, assisting with stocking supplies, and keeping nursing stations clean and organized.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care.
- Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
- Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
