Join Portsmouth Regional Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, as a Cardiac Stepdown Patient Care Technician. Full-time, 36-hour per week schedule, 6a-6p, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will support registered nurses in providing hands-on care and creating a welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities include assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort; providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and using supportive devices; keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked; and communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (CNA)
• New Hampshire LNA license required
• High School Graduate / GED

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

What You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (CNA)
• Certified Nursing Assistant
• New Hampshire LNA license required
• High School Graduate / GED
