Patient Care Tech

About the role

Patient Care Technicians under supervision perform routine non-professional and professional care, including unbagging and bagging equipment, making up post-op kits, directing doctors and patients to appropriate rooms, assisting medical staff with patient care, performing visual fields, setting up patients for required testing, maintaining adequate supplies, and keeping front and back waiting rooms in order.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine non-professional and professional care tasks
• Unbag and bag equipment
• Make up post-op kits
• Direct doctors and patients to appropriate rooms
• Assist medical staff with patient care
• Perform visual fields
• Set up patients for required testing
• Maintain adequate supplies
• Keep front and back waiting rooms in order

Requirements

• Graduate of a Patient care tech program preferred
• At least six months prior related experience in assisting with care of patients
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS certificate required

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
