Patient Care Supervisor (RN required) - Trauma Surgical Care Unit (TSCU) - nights

About the role

Mcleod Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. This position will be responsible for assessing patient needs, providing appropriate nursing interventions, supporting hourly rounds, ensuring compliance with unit standards, and fostering a respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
• Provides appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician’s prescribed medical plans of care.
• Supports and validates hourly rounds.
• Ensures compliance with established unit standards, policies, standards of care, and coordinates patient care activities for the assigned shift.
• Manages employee related complaints, issues, and concerns to optimize the work environment.
• Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina or compact (multi-state) RN license.
• This position requires an active Basic Life Support; Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certifications; as well as additional certifications per unit requirements.

Qualifications

• Job Type: Full time; 72 hours biweekly; night shift 7:00pm to 7:00am; as scheduled.
