About the role

Citizens Health is looking for a Registered Nurse to work full-time nights as a nurse supervisor at Citizens Medical Center, our acute care facility.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the planning, development, evaluation, coordination and management of patients enforcing with department policies and protocols within the medical/surgical, obstetrics, and emergency departments and in coordination with the multidisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain supervision of all nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Support nursing staff in evaluation of patients and notifying proper personnel and family with change of status of patient.
  • Perform rounds on unit with provider to evaluate and plan care on all patients.
  • Aid in providing ongoing training, mentorship, and support to nursing staff to ensure their skills and knowledge.
  • Serve as Incident commander for emergency preparedness, initiating appropriate response actions.

Requirements

  • Current RN Licensure by the Kansas Board of Nursing.
  • Current BLS, TNCC, PALS, NRP and ACLS preferred, will assist in obtaining active certification.
  • Prior experience as Supervisor, obstetrics, and ER preferred.
  • Experience in office productivity software (email, calendar, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, etc.).
  • Experience in EMR documentation.

Pay

Pay Range: Dependent upon degree and experience. A $12,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position.

Schedule

Days/Hours: This facility is staffed 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
