Patient Care RN - Recovery Room

We offer various practice settings throughout Kent and Sussex Counties. The Kent Campus is 90 minutes from Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Baltimore. About the role
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill are performed using the nursing process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures, and nursing philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, professional nursing care to a specified population of patients in the acute care setting.
- Develop a patient-centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of the patient medical record.
- Counsel and educate patients and their care partners on treatment plans.
- Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration.
- Provide wound care and dressing changes, as applicable.
- Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate.
- Consult with physicians to decide on best treatment decisions when appropriate.
- Perform nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions.
- Demonstrate quality, safe, and effective patient care.
- Provide delegation to unlicensed assistive staff and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) staff.
- Demonstrate standards of excellence which includes practicing nursing with core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and integrity.
- Demonstrate understanding and execute quality and performance improvement plans (only for RN evaluation).
- Participate in decision-making and take actions based on ethical principles (only for RN evaluation).
- Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
- All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
- Registered Nurse credential.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
- Experience in relevant specialty.

Pay
Salary range: $37.98+ per hour (BOE).
Schedule
- Status: Part Time.
- 48 Hours per pay period.
- Variable shift.
