Responsibilities

• Primary patient population: postpartum mothers and couplet care (mom and baby)
• Work with Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, OT/PT, Social Workers, Anesthesia team
• Manage 27 beds and 14 bay nurseries

Skills

• IV insertion – mother/newborn
• Medication administration – mother/newborn
• Postpartum/newborn assessments
• Time management, education, delegation

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Current NRP certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Qualifications

• BSN (preferred)
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association (preferred)
