PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR - NORTHWEST FAMILY MEDICINE - POST FALLS

About the role

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our Post Falls Family Medicine Team. This role requires a professional demeanor, the ability to work well under stress, and strong multitasking skills to provide excellent customer service to our patients.

In this position, you will perform a variety of medical clerical duties, including:

• Registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient transitions through required services
• Preparing pre-registration packets for each procedure
• Obtaining copies of appropriate documentation to facilitate billing and collections processes
• Processing co-payments and payments
• Registering patients and updating medical records
• Backing up all incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate person or department
• Performing nightly closing procedures for the clinic
• Calling patients for pre-registration notification, including copays and deductibles
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service background
• Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred
