PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR - NORTHWEST FAMILY MEDICINE - CDA

About the role

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join their CDA Family Medicine Team. The ideal candidate should have a professional demeanor, be able to work under stress, provide great customer service to patients, and be able to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Perform registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient transitions
  • Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure
  • Obtain and ensure copies of appropriate documentation for billing and collections
  • Process co-payments and payments
  • Register patients and update medical records
  • Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department
  • Perform nightly closing procedures for clinic
  • Call patients for pre-registration notifications including copays and deductibles
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service background
  • Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred
