PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR - NORTHWEST FAMILY MEDICINE - CDA
About the role
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join their CDA Family Medicine Team. The ideal candidate should have a professional demeanor, be able to work under stress, provide great customer service to patients, and multitask.
Responsibilities
- Perform registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure
- Obtain and update appropriate documentation for billing and collections
- Process co-payments and payments
- Register patients and update medical records
- Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department
- Perform nightly closing procedures for clinic
- Call patients for pre-registration notifications including copays and deductibles
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service background
- Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred
