Patient Care Coordinator- Gardner

About the role

SERC Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Gardner, KS. This is an entry-level office role responsible for maintaining pleasant and consistent daily operations of the clinic.

What you'll do

• Greet everyone who enters the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Schedule new referrals received by fax or by telephone from patients and physician offices
• Verify insurance coverage for patients
• Collect patient payments
• Maintain an orderly and organized front office workspace
• Collect all money due at the time of service
• Convert referrals into evaluations
• Schedule patient visits
• Create an inviting clinic atmosphere
• Make all welcome calls
• Monitor and influence arrival rate through creation of a great customer experience
• Manage schedule efficiently
• Manage document routing
• Manage personal overtime
• Manage non-clinical documentation
• Manage deposits
• Manage caseload, D/C candidate, progress note, and insurance reporting
• Monitor clinic inventory
• Attend any required training with the Territory Field Trainers (TFT) for Raintree and other business process updates
• Complete quarterly compliance training
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Communication skills – must be able to relate well to Business Office and Field leadership
• Ability to multitask, organizational detail, ability to meet deadlines, work with little to no supervision
• As a member of a team, must possess efficient time management and presentation skills

Schedule

This is a full-time position operating within normal business hours Monday through Friday, with an expectation of minimum of 40 hours per week. May be required to attend special events some evenings and weekends, or work additional hours as needed.
