Patient Care Coordinator
About the role
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and service-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our East Harwich office. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a dental, healthcare, or customer service environment, knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a patient-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and a positive first impression
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
- Schedule appointments and coordinate daily patient flow to support an exceptional office experience
- Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with questions regarding coverage and payment options
- Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and provide outstanding customer service
- Support treatment acceptance by helping patients understand next steps and financial arrangements
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Partner closely with doctors, hygienists, and team members to deliver seamless patient care
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a dental, healthcare, or customer service environment
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental insurance processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with dental software systems is a plus
