Patient Care Coordinator-Fort Worth, TX

About the role

The Hearing Care Coordinator (HCC) works closely with clinical staff to ensure patients receive quality care and service, partnering with onsite Hearing Care Professionals to support referring physicians and patients. The HCC schedules appointments, verifies insurance benefits, and assists with clinic support needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
• Place outbound calls to current and former patients for scheduling follow-up hearing tests, consultations, and weekly evaluations
• Collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files/notes
• Schedule/confirm patient appointments
• Complete benefit checks and authorization for each patient’s insurance
• Provide first‑level support to patients, answer questions, check patients in/out, and collect and process payments
• Process repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional
• Prepare bank deposits and submit daily reports to finance
• Apply general sales knowledge for accessories and patient support
• Process patient orders, receive orders, verify pickup, and input information into system
• Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
• Submit equipment and facility requests
• Perform general office duties, including cleaning
• Manage inventory, order/monitor stock, and submit supply orders as needed
• Assist with event planning and logistics for at least one community outreach event per month

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in a health care environment preferred
• Previous customer service experience required
• Spanish speaking required

Qualifications

• Prior experience or knowledge with hearing aids is a plus

Skills

• Professional verbal and written communication
• Strong relationship‑building skills with patients, physicians, and clinical staff
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• EMR/EHR experience a plus

Pay

$23.00‑$25.00 per hour plus Sales Incentive Program

Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5:00 pm
