Responsibilities
- Prepares and oversees daily schedule for nursing department
- Safeguards proper coverage for all nursing assignments
- Completes daily absences, tardies, and NCNS (no-call, no-show) documentation
- Aids in orienting new nursing staff
- Documents time, employee called, and response in daily call log
- Adjusts daily staffing to reflect changes in census
- Maintains accuracy of time sheets to avoid unscheduled overtime
- Maintains and ensures proper KIOSK documentation
- Conducts daily quality assurance rounds
- May temporarily take on duties of CNA as needed
- Assists in answering phones and directing calls
- Communicates with DON about staffing issues such as short staff, overtime, absenteeism, tardiness, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to record information and perform technical procedures
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
