Patient Care Assistant – Surgical Services

Role: The Patient Care Assistant in Surgical Services provides support to nursing staff by assisting with direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. Key Responsibilities Assist with delegated tasks within legal limits for unlicensed personnel.Support patient care activities to enhance nursing practice.Work at designated hospital campuses with schedule flexibility discussed during interviews. Qualifications Must be 18 or older, able to communicate effectively in English, and follow directions.Preferably have 12 college credits or a high school diploma/GED with CNA training or equivalent.Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross, or willingness to obtain it during orientation.Ability to adapt to unpredictable patient care situations. Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, adaptability, and a foundational understanding of patient care tasks.
