About the Role

Primarily responsible for the delivery of non-clinical care to all adult and/or pediatric patients. Responsible for delivery of clinical care as delegated by licensed nurses and within the scope of practice. Promotes positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, families, and other visitors.

Schedule

Full Time, Days, 5:45am–6:15pm

Responsibilities

  • Follows expected workflows and processes for the delivery of non-clinical and clinical care.
  • Demonstrates positive, effective communication, including education with patients and families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Provides a safe environment for patients, families, and co-workers, including handwashing and adherence to infection control policies.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, including maintaining current certifications (e.g., AED) and competencies, following dress code policies, and participating in the orientation of new team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • If working in the Total Joint Center: Required to complete eight (8) hours of hospital-provided continuing education annually, focusing on the management and care of total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement patients, as well as elective spine surgery patients.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak, and hear.
  • Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. An assisted-lift device or assistance from another individual(s) is required for lifts exceeding these limits.
