About the role
Provide basic, direct patient care under clinical supervision while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor vital signs and collect specimens
- Administer treatments and operate care equipment
- Ensure patient safety through proper identification, safe restraint use, and prompt response to call lights
- Support patient comfort with hygiene, positioning, and feeding
- Document observations and treatments accurately
- Maintain a safe environment, stock supplies, and participate in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-6 months experience preferred
- CPR certification required
- Unit-specific safety education and competency training provided for those without prior experience
