About the Role
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) I supports patient care by ensuring comfort and safety, working collaboratively with healthcare teams, patients, and families.
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated clinical tasks following Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines, maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrate effective communication, adaptability, teamwork, and personal accountability.
- Ensure patient and unit safety, provide comfort and hygiene, and document care appropriately.
- Orient patients and families to the hospital environment and facilitate communication during hospitalization.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- 0-1 years of experience preferred.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required.
