About the Role
Provides direct patient care under RN supervision, assisting with activities such as personal hygiene, vital signs, and ambulation for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Documents patient information
- Maintains patient rooms
- Assists with equipment setup and transport
- Functions as a health unit coordinator
- Ensures patient safety by maintaining close observation when needed
- Advocates for patients
- Communicates professionally with patients and staff
- Assists with equipment cleaning and room stocking
- Performs other assigned tasks to support patient care and unit operations
Requirements
- Completion of a nursing assistant program or prior experience
- CNA certification preferred
- BLS certification required
- Hospital experience preferred
