About the role

The FGP Patient Care Assistant (PCA) supports efficient practice workflows by assisting with administrative and patient care responsibilities. This role involves greeting patients, answering phones, escorting patients, and completing clinical tasks within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and completes check-in and check-out processes as needed
• Answers phones and schedules appointments
• Sets up and prepares exam rooms for provider visits
• Validates patient medical record per FGP guidelines
• Takes vital signs and records in Electronic Medical Record
• Aids in the collection of lab specimens
• Supports FGP access and quality initiatives
• Performs other duties as needed

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• One year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant within the last two years
• Working knowledge of English
• Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must demonstrate the following:

• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Proficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy preferred
