Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for greeting, registering and checking in new, return and walk-in patients. Will also check-out and schedule appointments.
- Updates and verifies patient insurance, referrals and demographic information in EPIC as needed.
- Collects copays, self-pay payments and fees for services as needed.
- Balances cash drawer daily.
- Serves as back up for other staff during peak times, vacations and illnesses. Maintains familiarity with insurance companies and their requirements.
- Adheres to HIPAA regulations and all Orthopedic/front desk policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Equipment

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date (online BLS certifications without a skills assessment component are not sufficient).
- Billing systems and third-party claims and/or medical office setting, related customer service (3 years).

Pay
$17.89 - $26.35 / Hourly
