About the role

Cogent Biosciences is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team. This position will contribute to the development of precision therapies for genetically defined diseases, focusing on the advancement of bezuclastinib and other targeted therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the research and development of novel targeted therapies for genetically driven diseases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance clinical programs and support drug development.
  • Participate in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
  • Write and review scientific reports and manuscripts for publication.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience in drug discovery and development, preferably in oncology or hematological disorders.
  • Strong background in molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in academic or industry settings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and good laboratory practices.

Skills

  • Expertise in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA sequencing, and protein expression.
  • Experience with cell culture and animal models.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and statistical software.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
