Patient Ambassador at Mercy South

About the role

The Patient Ambassador provides patient-focused support services within a multidisciplinary scope, including food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management. At applicable locations, the Patient Ambassador operates TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients and staff with food and nutrition services
• Operates TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals
• Assists with linen, laundry, and housekeeping services
• Manages supply inventory and distribution

Requirements

• Minimum required experience: Certifications such as Food Handlers within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Other skills and knowledge: Effective communication in English, ability to learn new skills, and interest in growing your role in the department.
