Patient Account Registrar

The Patient Account Registrar position at Saint Clare's Health involves interviewing patients or their representatives to gather necessary demographic information, securing insurance details, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations. Responsibilities
- Interview patients or their representatives to obtain patient demographics
- Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations as needed
- Work closely with all facets of the Admitting department, including PBX operator function and reception areas
- Operate a computer to input and retrieve data
- Communicate effectively with the diverse patient population using appropriate age-specific techniques
- Maintain proficiency in medical terminology
- Participate in special projects or other assignments as directed
Requirements
- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize needs to meet required timelines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer Services experience required

- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires)

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $16.10/Hr. to $21.72/Hr., with the exact starting compensation determined at the time of selection based on a variety of factors including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
Schedule
Full Time Days schedule is available.
