Patient Account Registrar
Responsibilities
- Interview the patient or his/her representative to obtain identifying and verifying information.
- Obtain patient’s name, address, age, date of birth, social security number, occupation, insurance information and obtain authorization.
- Interface with the PBX operator and reception areas.
- Operate a computer to input and retrieve data.
- Communicate with the population served using age-specific techniques from neonatal to geriatrics.
- Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
- Perform special projects or other assignments within a specified timeframe.
Qualifications
- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Pay
The current compensation range for this role is $26.51 to $26.51 per hour. Exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection, considering a wide range of factors including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
