About the role
The RN - Patient Accommodation is responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the department. Duties include securing bed placement, utilizing clinical and critical thinking skills to admit non-emergent patients, and working collaboratively with other disciplines and departments to make appropriate bed assignments and transfer arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Secures bed placement
- Utilizes clinical and critical thinking skills to admit non-emergent patients
- Works collaboratively with other disciplines and departments to ensure appropriate bed assignments and transfer arrangements are made
- Ensures accuracy of patient demographics and financial information
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years broad clinical experience preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Active RN licensure required, BLS required

- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software; strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills; must be able to meet strict deadlines; strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills; must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to remain calm in difficult situations; strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance; ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions; ability to work both independently and in a team environment; ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments; ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards
