About the role
The supervisor for Patient Registration and/or Patient Financial Services is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more areas. Supervises staff including coordinating quality and customer service activities; assisting in the development and monitoring of the department budget; coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes; serving as a technical resource to team members; and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff.
Responsibilities
- Interviews, hires, and develops staff with the goal of developing highly effective work teams.
- Serves as chief retention officer for areas of responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Equivalent experience in Registration may be considered in lieu of Bachelors degree
- Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) OR Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) obtained within 12 months of hire (Required)
- Healthcare experience - 1 year (Required)
