Description
Summary: Schedules and registers patients. Obtains demographic information and performs related clerical functions.
- Registers and checks in patients, minimizing wait times and ensuring a welcoming experience; communicates effectively to support smooth scheduling, arrivals, departures, and follow-up coordination.
- Schedules appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits; confirms required orders or referrals and provides clear instructions on location, arrival time, documentation, and preparation.
- Updates paperwork upon arrival.
- Collections required payments or refers patients to financial counselors; verifies insurance eligibility and accurately enters all demographic and billing information.
- Manages administrative tasks, including handling communications, prioritizing workflow, and coordinating with providers and staff to obtain needed information.
- Reviews schedules and calendars to support efficient operations.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Pay and Benefits
Pay: $21.06 - $31.59 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
