About the Role

Be the vital link in patient care coordination. At Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC), we're more than just a healthcare organization — we're a community dedicated to making a meaningful impact. For more than 60 years, we've been providing compassionate, high-quality care in the Greater Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and putting people first — both our patients and our employees. Whether you're on the front lines of patient care or supporting operations behind the scenes, you'll find a culture of collaboration, growth, and respect.

The Patient Access Specialist-Scheduling is central in accurately scheduling appointments, upholding provider preferences, and ensuring slot availability for optimal patient care. As the primary facilitator of communication, this role ensures clear information exchange between patients, providers, and other departments, enhancing continual care collaboration. The specialist manages and maintains patient data within electronic medical records, verifying and updating insurance and demographic details for compliance and accuracy. Challenges include multitasking under pressure and adapting to varying patient and provider needs swiftly. Daily tasks are balanced with customer service responsibilities, capturing the essence of front-line support and efficient administrative performance.

About the Nisswa Clinic Department

As a trusted destination for preventive care, chronic disease management, and same-day acute care, our team is often the first point of connection for patients seeking both ongoing support and quick access when something changes. We prioritize being available when patients need us most — whether for a sudden illness, a flare-up of a chronic condition, or a last-minute concern. From annual wellness visits and immunizations to managing chronic conditions, we deliver patient-centered care that balances prevention with responsive, same-day access. Our providers collaborate closely with specialists and care teams across CRMC to ensure a seamless, coordinated experience — without unnecessary delays.
