Patient Access Representative - Union/Southgate/Cold Spring
Safety
Safeguards patient safety by identifying the correct patient, recognizing special needs, and preparing isolation precautions for patients with infectious disease indicators.
Customer Service
- Assists and serves patients, families, staff, and external agencies in accurate patient registration, admission, and scheduling.
- Investigates and resolves customer requests, questions, or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures.
- Contacts outside representatives to request information or assist in resolving problems.
HIPAA/Confidentiality
Maintains confidentiality, protects, and safeguards patient/family personal medical and financial information at all times during collection, use, and storage. Access only information and records necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position.
Compliance
Completes and authenticates all documents and questionnaires that ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, CMS, ODH).
Revenue Cycle Support
- Supports the Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory by ensuring necessary data, information, and forms are obtained and accurately entered into the appropriate system.
- Talks to management to explain system errors or to recommend changes to the system.
Qualifications
No directly related experience required. High school diploma or equivalent.

Benefits
Annual pay may vary based on FTE status. Comprehensive benefits package available.
Pay
Starting pay range: $17.49 - $20.99. Pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on-call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply.
Schedule
Full-time, daytime weekday hours with rotating shifts (opener, mid, and late). Typical start time around 7:45 AM. One late shift per week, approximately 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, rotated. Saturday rotation: approximately one Saturday per month, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. When working Saturday, a half day off during the week is provided to offset. No Sunday hours. On-site/in-person role.
