Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson - Emergency Department
Address: 1400 US Highway 61, Festus, MO 63028
Hours/Schedule: PRN (As Needed)
Evening Differential Eligible

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: 1-3 years clerical experience preferred
• Experience: Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred

Minimum Skills, Knowledge And Ability Requirements

• Communication: Effective both orally and in writing, excellent telephone etiquette required
• Relationships: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, physicians, clinical and non-clinical hospital staff and insurance companies
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
• Stress Management: Ability to work under stress, meet deadlines and perform all daily assignments with a high level of accuracy
• Computer Systems: Knowledgeable and experienced with various computers systems
• Physical Abilities: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis; prolonged standing and walking during each shift; grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
