Patient Access Representative II - Emergency Admissions - PRN
About the role
Responsible for creating the first impression of the organization's services to patients and families and other external customers. Essential duties may include scheduling, registration and insurance verification for both outpatient and inpatient services by collecting proper demographic information and securing authorizations for procedures. Acts as the primary liaison for patients receiving professional and hospital services at ECU Health.

- Conduct insurance verification and secure procedure authorizations

Requirements
- High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher required
- Associate Degree preferred
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 1 to 2 years of Registration and/or Billing experience within a healthcare setting required
- 3 to 5 years of customer service experience required
Skills
- Excellent communication (both written and oral)
- Detail orientation

- Multitasking skills
- Insurance Verification experience
- Preferred experience with EPIC and medical office workflows
- Experience with Microsoft Office/PC-based applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Pay
Pay Range $17 - $23.78
Schedule
10 hours per week, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, every other Friday & Saturday with holiday rotation.
