Patient Access Representative, Full-Time, Baptist Clay

Baptist Health is Jacksonville's only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system. We provide a full spectrum of preventive and specialty care through 200+ locations and six hospitals, including centers of excellence such as Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute, and Wolfson Children's Hospital.

We are hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient Access team in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• 1-2 years customer service experience required
• 1-2 years healthcare experience required
• 1-2 years insurance experience required
• High school diploma required
