Patient Access Representative II, Full-Time, Baptist ED North

About the role

Baptist ED North is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient Access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time opportunity with a shift of Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• 1-2 years customer service experience required
• 1-2 years healthcare experience required
• 1-2 years insurance experience required
• High school diploma required
