Patient Access Representative, Part-Time, Baptist Clay

This is a part-time position based at Baptist Clay in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence for patients and visitors during face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to Patient Access Services (PAS) goals as defined annually (e.g., Collections, Palm Scanning)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains professional relationships with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• 1-2 years of customer service experience (required)
• 1-2 years of healthcare experience (required)
• 1-2 years of insurance experience (required)
• High school diploma (required)
