Patient Access Representative

Saint Luke’s in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our remote team, conducting professional patient interviews to obtain demographic, financial, and biographical information while delivering quality performance and service excellence.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Understand insurance terminology
• Obtain information to appropriately bill payors
• Verify patient insurance eligibility
• Confirm benefits eligibility
• Gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Complete payment transactions by using proper negotiating techniques to professionally collect money owed by patients and guarantors
• Make referrals to appropriate financial resources, such as payment plans and lines of credit

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience
• Strong computer and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
• Positive attitude and excitement about working with people
