About the role

We're looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Service Representative. Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth patient flow and enhancing the overall experience for our patients and guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests courteously via phone or in person
• Schedule appointments or complete admissions for patients
• Verify accurate identification and demographic data for patient records
• Collect and verify insurance information for accurate billing
• Facilitate point-of-service collections and provide patient registration assistance
• Represent the organization professionally and improve patient satisfaction
• Support multiple functions across different patient and payer types

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
• Certification in Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM), Certification in Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA), or Certification as a Medical Assistant (or other medical specialty-based certification) preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and healthcare-specific software
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle high-stress situations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree preferred

• Technical knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and payor guidelines
