Patient Access Rep - Full Time - Grove

About the role

We're seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Service Representative. Reporting to the Registration Team Lead, you'll greet patients and guests, initiate scheduling, and ensure smooth check-in processes. Your role is crucial in ensuring accurate patient information and facilitating timely appointments.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests courteously via phone or in person
• Schedule appointments or admit patients
• Obtain and verify accurate patient identification and demographic data
• Collect and input insurance information for verification
• Communicate with patients to explain insurance benefits and collect payments
• Balance cash drawer daily and prepare deposit slips
• Represent the organization professionally and maintain patient confidentiality
• Support multiple functions across different patient and payer types

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
• Certification in Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM), Certification in Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA), or Certification as a Medical Assistant (or other medical specialty-based certification)
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and healthcare-specific software
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree preferred
