Patient Access Rep - full time

About the role

We're seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Service Representative. Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth patient flow and enhancing the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests courteously via phone or in person
• Schedule appointments or complete admissions for patients
• Verify accurate identification and demographic data for patient records
• Collect and verify insurance information using electronic methods
• Facilitate point-of-service collections and manage patient registration
• Enhance patient satisfaction through professional and cross-trained interactions
• Balance cash drawers, prepare deposits, and follow closing procedures
• Represent the organization professionally and maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
• Resolve issues and escalate concerns as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree preferred
• Experience in front-line registration, financial counseling, or similar roles
• Preferred certifications: CHAM, CHAA, Medical Assistant

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
