Patient Access Rep-Crestwood Medical Center-FT-1st shift

Responsibilities

• Obtaining demographic information and verification of eligibility, benefits and pre-cert requirements for all inpatients along with Behavioral Health patients attending the partial or IOP program.
• Providing insurance information to Registration management for review on a daily basis.
• Making sure all necessary documents are signed at time of admission and all documents placed on the medical chart.
• Making judge-mental decisions concerning accounts in order to secure payment arrangements.
• Coordinating information to the Case Management Department to ensure pre-certification is obtained.

Qualifications

• Education preferred: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: One year registration experience preferred; experience within a healthcare facility an asset.

Skills

• Experience with personal computer applications or data input terminals required.
• Must be able to utilize a calculator.
• Must be able to type 35 words per minute.
