Patient Access Rep-Cosmetic Med Svcs

About the role

This position is responsible for performing all registration, scheduling, order entry and reception functions as well as ensuring the facility operates efficiently and at high volume. Knowledgeable about all treatments and services including cosmetic medical services, medical acupuncture, BHRT, executive physicals is required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately gather demographic, sponsorship or guardian data, insurance, clinical, financial and statistical information from various sources.
• Verify insurance eligibility/benefits, obtain insurance authorization within required timeframe, collect patient financial obligations and accurately charge order entry.
• Maintain appropriate referral information for acupuncture, plastic surgery and dermatology patients, collect all monies due on procedures performed in office at time of service, and inform patients of payment expectations and any pre-procedure protocols prior to appointment.
• Coordinate appointments and provide support services for medical staff and health professionals, and actively participate in the orientation of new team and/or medical staff members.
• Complete appropriate admissions forms and obtain consents for treatments and procedures being rendered.
• Adhere to regulatory, third-party and facility policies, making the admission process expeditious and non-imposing.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical and aesthetic concepts, practices, services, treatments and procedures.
• Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with patients of all ages, their families, physicians, physician office staff and other health care providers.
• Experience in admitting, medical claims processing, professional office experience and/or customer service experience with financial interaction.
• Experience in retail sales is preferred.
• Cosmetology certification or two (2) years equivalent experience in the aesthetics field or related area is preferred.
