About the role

The Patient Access & Pre-Access Manager oversees strategic and operational functions for patient access and pre-access teams, ensuring alignment with revenue cycle goals and regulatory standards. This position pays between $56,800.00 - $78,875.00 based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the operations for the admitting, registration, and financial services departments at the acute care locations.
  • Manage multi-site operations, monitor KPIs, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensure compliance, and partner with leadership to implement initiatives that optimize front-end workflows.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development for supervisors and staff, provide coaching and performance feedback, and foster team engagement to build a high-performing culture.
  • Serve as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders, resolve escalated issues, and promote collaboration to achieve organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ management experience in healthcare industry.
  • Preferred area of study: Healthcare Management / Administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft is a must.
  • Ability to balance numerous priorities, requiring great skills in prioritization.
  • Advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean in to process and technological improvements.

Qualifications

  • Patient Access experience preferred.
  • Experience with managed care/insurance and Call Center experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean in to process and technological improvements.

Skills

  • Strong skills in prioritization.
  • Understanding of multiple computer applications.
  • Understanding of information technology to work with the IT department.
  • Advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean in to process and technological improvements.
