Responsibilities

  • Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate Trinity Health Mission, Values, Vision, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Research, collect, and analyze information; identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead through resolution.
  • Collaborate on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency and patient experience.
  • Responsible for distribution of analytical reports.
  • Utilize multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials.
  • Incorporate basic knowledge of Trinity Health policies, practices, and processes to ensure quality, confidentiality, and safety.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of departmental processes and procedures and ability to acquire new knowledge.
  • Research and compile information to support ad-hoc operational projects and initiatives.
  • Synthesize and analyze data, providing detailed summaries including graphical presentations illustrating trends and recommending practical options or solutions.
  • Consider impact on business strategy and support leadership decision-making.
  • Leverage program and operational data to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and other policies to ensure adherence reflecting safe, honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of experience working in Patient Access or Patient Accounting for a hospital.
  • Obtain National certification in HFMA CRCR and/or NAHAM CHAA within one (1) year of hire.
  • Understanding of basic billing and coding.

Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal or state government agencies including Medicare, Medicaid, VA, or Charity Care programs.
  • Experience with patient management and healthcare accounts receivable within the healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Experience with registration and/or hospital reimbursement services.
