Patient Access and Pre-Services Manager

About the role

The Patient Access Manager leads the registration and pre-services teams at Pella Regional Health Center. The Manager provides strategic and operational oversight of the 24/7 Patient Access and Pre-Services Departments, partnering with the Patient Access Supervisor to support day-to-day operations, staff management, and performance, while driving customer service, patient satisfaction, staff development, and fiscal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and operational oversight of the 24/7 Patient Access and Pre-Services Departments.
• Partners with the Patient Access Supervisor to support day-to-day operations, staff management, and performance.
• Drives customer service, patient satisfaction, staff development, and fiscal outcomes.
• Supports departmental financial management, quality assurance initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
• Pairs closely with various departments to ensure appropriate patient placement, accurate registration, and seamless coordination across departments.

Requirements

• Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare administration or a related field.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and coding practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
